A Million Extraordinary Moments come together to create an unforgettable experience at the 34th Annual Black & White Ball. The evening is inspired by the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s Mainstage production of Million Dollar Quartet - the story of the once-in-a-lifetime impromptu recording session between Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins in Memphis, Tennessee. Set against the backdrop of elegant 1950s Hollywood glamour, our guests will be swept away by sexy, cutting-edge Rock and Roll music of the era.

This premiere event of the social season celebrates theatre and raises funds for Royal MTC with a style and format unlike any event in Winnipeg.  Last year, more than 400 guests enjoyed delicious food, themed drinks, and danced the night away, while bidding generously on amazing prize packages. The ball returns to The Fort Garry Hotel’s Grand Ballroom on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 for another must-attend evening.

Proceeds from the Black & White Ball help Royal MTC ensure world-class theatre remains accessible to all Manitobans. The money raised supports the cost of the Mainstage and Warehouse productions, keeping ticket prices affordable. The proceeds raised also support our youth education and enrichment programs - Theatre for Young Audiences, the Backstage Pass, and scholarships to assists emerging Manitoban artists with their education. Additional Royal MTC programs include Wordplay and the Regional Tour.
