The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre would like to thank all of our hard-working volunteers for everything they do to support live theatre. Royal MTC relies on the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers who donate their time as ushers from October through May. At more than 250 performances throughout the season, volunteers greet you as you enter the theatre, take your tickets, hand you an issue of Ovation, and show you to your seat.
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer usher at Royal MTC? Complete the online application. Ushers volunteer at one consistent performance for each show (for example, the second Wednesday of the run, or the third Saturday matinee). Ushers are provided with training on roles and responsibilities. Royal MTC compiles a waiting list and will call upon new ushers when a spot opens up on one of the ushering teams. We are currently welcoming new ushers to teams.
Are you interested in volunteering casually in our administrative department? Contact our Education & Community Engagement Manager Angela Broadbent at firstname.lastname@example.org
Each year, the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival relies on the help of more than 700 volunteers to make the festival happen. For information on volunteer opportunities at one of Winnipeg's largest summer events, visit www.winnipegfringe.com.
